Edcombe FarmĀ is a 110 acre site south of Bristol, near Fernhill Farm, the venue for the festival. Robert Mann, its owner, talked from the heart about his lifetime farming in the area, finding the right scale to farm at (small is beautiful .. or be more accurate he’s found that smaller is better), and how he has to sell to supermarkets since he simply can not cost-effectively find a route to market for his produce. This last fact drove him to tears- he believe that his meat deserves better, to be treated by a skilled butcher who knows the how to prepare the best cuts, and served to customers who appreciate the taste and quality that comes from being produced with such care and love.
